Educational Travel Experiences for Students


Defining Moments was established in 2003 to assist teachers and schools organise school group tours. We aim to provide unique curriculum related travel experiences for teachers and students alike and alleviate the stresses and challenges involved in the organisation of the trips.

We believe in engaging teachers and students and helping them develop life-long skills and a passion for learning that extends well beyond the classroom. Teachers are the key to the success of overseas tour planning, however, we understand the amount of time that it involves, the commitment and enthusiasm for this to be achieved.

Defining Moments have developed and refined their programmes to ensure teachers get the high level of support and assistance required when planning both national and international travel experiences for their students. We specialise in travel experiences relevant to many of the subject choices within the NZ school curriculum. In particular we have developed very unique programmes in support of social science and language departments.

In order to improve each experience, the team at Defining Moments obtain detailed feedback from each participant relating to all parts of their experience. This information ensures we continue to provide the highest standard of service and quality assurance to every school we work with, whether it is a budget trip or of a higher standard. To date, 99% of all the students and teachers rate their tour experience with Defining Moments as very good or excellent.
