Waiheke Island

Waiheke Island is the most populated of the Hauraki Gulf Islands due to its close proximity to Auckland.

Several ferries run daily for both cars and passengers and the trip time is approximately 40 minutes.

Once on Waiheke it will quickly become clear why this Island is so popular. Golden sandy beaches give way to vineyards and resort accommodation.

Water activities are abundant for those seeking outdoor activities. For a more relaxed day take a winery tour to sample some fine wines from the area.

For a relaxed break in the sun surrounded by beaches cafes and restaurants but close to the city you cant go past Waiheke Island.
