An area rich in architectural history is the Dunedin area. Beautiful designed buildings from years gone by have been saved and brought back to life giving the area a "regal look".

Dunedin City is the regions largest populated area and the smaller areas of Port Chalmers and Middlemarch are just as stunning.

A short drive of 20 minutes from Dunedin takes you to Larnach Castle. Built in 1871 it is one of the areas finest buildings.

If you are feeling fit and want a workout try walking up Baldwin Street in Dunedin. According to records it is the worlds steepest street.

Out of the towns the wildlife is stunning. It is the only area in the world that the Northern Royal Albatross breed.

From the Dunedin Railway station catch a train through the Central Otago. A round trip of 4 - 6 hours takes you over the Wingatui Viaduct the largest wrought iron structure in the world.
