Fiordland sits on the lower west coast of the South Island. It is probably one of the most photographed areas in New Zealand and little wonder with the magnificent scenery that is found here.
The most notable feature of the area would have to be Milford Sound. This area has been described as "The eighth wonder of the world" where sheer cliffs rise out of the water, where waterfalls cascade at every turn and tourists can glide the misty waters in complete silence.
The areas of Te Anau, Milford Sound, Manapouri and Doubtful Sound make up this tourist mecca area and proudly show New Zealand at its wildest and untamed best.
Boating, walks, kayaking, scenic flights and cruises give tourists every chance to be able to explore this magnificent area full of unspoilt beauty for an experience never to forget.
