Ceremonies Designed Uniquely for YouYou're planning what will be one of the happiest days of your life - a day filled with romance and happiness.
Your friends and family will see you marry the love of your life. The public part of your wedding day begins when you, as the bride, enter your ceremony location, your guests are waiting, the music starts, you look stunning, your groom is smiling and your celebration begins. You turn to face each other, join hands and look into each others eyes; you say your wedding vows, exchange rings, are pronounced husband and wife and sign the marriage documents.
I love being a celebrant - it must surely be the best job ever - so I'd love to help you create your wedding ceremony. We will work together to make sure your ceremony is the way you want it to be, beautiful, meaningful and uniquely yours. I will listen carefully to you so your wedding day is everything you dreamed it would be.
How We Design Your CeremonyFirst, we meet to discuss your wedding plans and ideas, and the different parts of a wedding ceremony. This is a great opportunity for you to see how we click - it's important you both feel comfortable and confident with your celebrant.
At our second meeting we work on your ceremony. The flexibility of a civil ceremony means you choose your ceremony content. I encourage people to have as much input as they wish. I have lots of ideas, suggestions and resource material we can use to write your ceremony - these can be changed to suit or you may prefer to use your own. Your ceremony might be traditional or original and creative, or a combination of both. We'll create it to reflect your personality and wishes.
A well-designed wedding ceremony has a clear structure - it flows smoothly, holds your guests attention and is about you. We begin by welcoming your guests and include a story about how you met, your proposal, or what you mean to each other to personalise your ceremony.
You might ask a family member or friend to read a verse during your ceremony. You might light candles, release butterflies or balloons, exchange red roses, gifts or glasses of wine.
I will send you a draft copy of your ceremony for editing so you have control over the content.
Closer to your wedding date we'll go to your venue for a rehearsal.
On the day I'll be dressed immaculately, arrive 30 minutes early to ensure everything is in order, help you feel at ease, take my leave at the appropriate time (not rush off as soon as your ceremony is over), and ensure all the paperwork is completed.
Choose music you love for your ceremony - the music played when you arrive, sign the documents and walk forward for your guests to congratulate you will bring back beautiful wedding day memories whenever you hear it.
