Designed Uniquely for You
Congratulations you're planning what will be one of the happiest days of your life. A romantic and meaningful wedding you will always remember as a day filled with joy, love and happiness. I've been a marriage celebrant for nine years - it must surely be the best job ever I love it! It is an honour to be part of your wedding day and my goal is to make sure your ceremony is the way you want it to be, beautiful, meaningful and uniquely yours. I would love to help you plan a wedding ceremony that will create wonderful memories for you and your guests. I will listen carefully to what you want so your wedding day is everything you dreamed it would be. The public part of your wedding day begins when you, as the bride, enter your ceremony location, your guests are waiting, the music starts, you look stunning, your groom is smiling, your celebration begins. Imagine it. Your friends and family will see you marry the love of your life. You will turn to face each other, join hands, look into each others eyes, declare your love for each other, exchange wedding rings, and be pronounced husband and wife. |

How We Design Your Ceremony First, we meet to discuss your wedding plans and ideas, and the different parts of a wedding ceremony - this is a great opportunity for you to see how we click. It's important the person who performs your wedding ceremony is someone you feel comfortable with and who will do what you want them to do. At our second meeting we have fun working together to make your wedding day superb! The flexibility of a civil ceremony means you choose your ceremony content. I encourage you to have as much input into your ceremony as you desire. I have lots of ideas, suggestions and resource material we can use to write your ceremony - these can be changed to suit or you may prefer to use your own. Your ceremony might be traditional or original and creative, or a combination of both. We'll create it to reflect your personality and wishes. A well-designed wedding ceremony has a clear structure. It flows smoothly, holds your guests attention and is about you. We begin by welcoming your guests. Including a story about you, perhaps how you met, your proposal, or what you mean to each other will personalise your ceremony. You exchange your vows and rings, are pronounced husband and wife, and sign the marriage documents. You might ask a family member or friend to read a verse during your ceremony. You might light candles, release butterflies or balloons, exchange red roses, gifts or glasses of wine. I will send you a draft copy of your ceremony which you are welcome to amend when it is complete I will print you a good copy to keep. Closer to your wedding date we'll go to your venue for a rehearsal. On the day I'll be dressed immaculately, arrive 30 minutes early to ensure everything is in order, help you feel at ease, will take my leave at the appropriate time (not rush off as soon as your ceremony is over), and ensure all the paperwork is in order. Your music - do choose music you love for your ceremony - the music played when you arrive, sign the documents and walk forward together will bring back beautiful wedding day memories whenever you hear it.
